partnered with Yale University to help create and deliver a system
funded by the US Dept of State.

Beginning in 2009, the US Department of State called up Bruce Wexler
and Yale University to create a systematic approach and system that
would allow for a more unbiased way to analyze publications. The
immediate application was to applied to Israel and Palestine.

January 28, 2011 - AIT, in partnership with Yale University, proudly releases the first Text Book Analysis System, known as TBAS.

Welcome to the New Textbook Analysis System! (TBAS)

Version 3.6.8 First of its kind, Fully Hosted, On Demand - Database Driven Text Book Analysis System! (TBAS) A Complete Turnkey solution, allowing for systematic, Quantitative and Qualitative
Multi-Rater evaluation of publications IN Multiple Languages.

Fully Customizable - Add your own question and answer tables in multiple languages. This project was launched by the Council of Religious Institutions of the Holy Land in Jerusalem, in August 2009.

With the goal to study the “Portrayal of the Other” in Palestinian and Israeli school books, the project is funded by a grant from U.S Department of State and is implemented under the supervision of Prof. Bruce Wexler of Yale University and his NGO – A Different Future.

A joint Palestinian-Israeli research team – headed by Professors Daniel Bar-Tal (Tel Aviv University) and Sami Adwan (Bethlehem University) – was formed, employing 7 research assistants (3 Israeli and4 Palestinian, all fluent in Arabic and Hebrew) to analyze texts of 486 Israeli and 144 Palestinian books from grades 1 to 12.

A Scientific Advisory Panel was also assembled, consisting of European, American, Palestinian and Israeli experts in school book analysis, history and education, who will oversee all aspects of the work.

This is the first study to constitute a joint Israeli/Palestinian research team and use identical, standardized scientific methods in a simultaneous and comprehensive study of both Israeli and Palestinian books with oversight by an expert Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP). American IT Solutions, worked with Yale University to design the system specifically for this Text Book Analysis Project. Special Thanks to Dr. Bruce Wexler, Prof. Daniel Bar-Tal, Prof. Sami Adwan and their teams!
